Display Focus Surgery's easy to use graphical interface allows the physician to access information easily and maintain total computer control over the therapy session. The high-resolution flat panel color monitor displays all system, patient, imaging, and treatment information via a state-of-the-art graphical user interface (GUI). During the treatment session, updated (live) images of the prostate are acquired and displayed on the screen immediately after each HIFU exposure, which helps the user to monitor changes in the tissue being treated. Proprietary user software automatically monitors changes at the rectal wall during treatment (Reflectivity Index Measurement – RIM™) while other features include real time probe tip temperature and rectal wall distance measurement. In addition, shot-by-shot, reference images stored in memory prior to therapy give the doctor full control in monitoring the therapy.
